Uptime reports
Weekly or monthly uptime report e-mails and the Reports page — overall uptime, downtime, incidents and response time per period, compared with the previous one, per-monitor table, expiring certificates and domains, printing and the reports API.
Uptime reports answer "how did we do?" for a whole week or month: overall uptime, how long things were down, how many incidents there were and how fast your services answered — compared with the period before. You get them two ways:
- By e-mail, every week or every month (monthly by default).
- In the dashboard, on the Reports page, for any period you choose.
The Reports page#
Open Reports in the dashboard menu (everyone in the account except notify-only members can) and pick a period:
| Period | Covers |
|---|---|
| Last week | The previous full week, Monday 00:00 to Sunday 24:00 (default). |
| Last month | The previous calendar month. |
| This month | From the 1st of the current month until now. |
| Custom range | Any start and end date, up to 366 days. |
The page shows:
- Summary tiles — overall uptime (the average of the monitors' uptime), total downtime, number of incidents and average response time. Under each value, the change against the previous period of the same length (for "last week", the week before): ▲ / ▼ with the difference, and whether that is better or worse. Uptime changes are shown in percentage points (
pp), response time changes in percent. - Monitors — one row per monitor with its uptime, downtime, incidents and average response time. It starts with the worst uptime first (monitors without data last); select any column header to sort by it, and select it again to reverse the order. On a phone, use Sort by.
- Expiring in the next 30 days — SSL certificates and domain registrations watched by your SSL and domain monitors that expire within 30 days from today, soonest first — or have already expired.
Periods start at midnight in the account's time zone (Settings → Profile → Time zone). Checks taken during a maintenance window don't count towards uptime or response time, and maintenance never counts as downtime. A period without any checks shows "No data for this period".
Printing and PDF#
Select Print / Save as PDF to print the report, or choose "Save as PDF" in your browser's print dialog. The printed version leaves out the menu and buttons, keeps the full monitor table and adds the account name and the period at the top.
Report e-mails#
| Setting | Sent | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | Every Monday at 08:00 | The previous week, Monday 00:00 to Sunday 24:00 |
| Monthly (default) | On the 1st of every month at 08:00 | The previous calendar month |
| Off | Never | — |
- Times and periods use the account's time zone (Settings → Profile → Time zone), and the e-mail is written in your language (also in Profile).
- You get one e-mail per account in which you are an Owner or Admin and that has at least one monitor, at your confirmed e-mail address. Members and notify-only members don't receive reports. If an account had no data in the period, no e-mail is sent for it.
- Each e-mail contains the summary with the change against the previous period, up to 20 monitors (worst uptime first, then "and N more"), the certificates and domains that expire within 30 days, and a link to the full report in the dashboard.
- Every report is sent once. If sending is delayed (for example during maintenance on our side), the report goes out when we are back, up to 48 hours later — never twice.
Choose weekly, monthly or off in Settings → Notifications. Send me a sample report now e-mails you last week's report straight away, so you can see what it looks like; it goes only to you (at most 5 per hour).
Unsubscribing#
Every report e-mail has an Unsubscribe link and a link to your e-mail preferences at the bottom; many mail apps also show their own one-click "Unsubscribe" button. The link opens a page where you confirm with a button — just opening the link changes nothing — and where you can also change your other e-mail preferences, without signing in. See E-mail preferences and in-app notifications.
Our report and news e-mails contain no tracking pixels and no tracked links.
Reports API#
The same report is available from the REST API, also with a read-only API key:
curl -s "https://api.isituprightnow.com/api/v1/reports/uptime?period=week" \
