Getting started#
Is there a free plan?#
Yes. The Free plan is free forever and doesn't need a credit card. It includes monitors, regular checks, alerts and a status page; paid plans add faster checks, more regions and more. See Pricing for the current limits.
How quickly will I know about an outage?#
It depends on the check interval of the monitor (as fast as your plan allows) and on confirmation: an outage is confirmed by a second region or a second consecutive check before alerts go out. With a 1-minute interval you typically hear about a real outage within one to two minutes.
What can I monitor?#
Websites and APIs (HTTP(S), with optional keyword checks), servers (ping), TCP and UDP services, DNS records, SSL certificates, domain registrations and scheduled jobs (heartbeat monitors). See Monitors.
Can I monitor services on my private network?#
Not directly: checks only connect to public internet addresses. For internal jobs and services, use a heartbeat monitor — the service calls us, so nothing has to be reachable from the internet.
Alerts#
Why didn't I get an alert?#
Check three things: the monitor has an alert rule for the contact (without rules nobody is alerted), the contact is verified (e-mail, SMS and voice), and the monitor wasn't in a maintenance window. Then use Test on the contact. See Alerts.
How do you avoid false alarms?#
A single failed check never alerts. Monitors checked from several regions need two regions to fail at the same time; single-region monitors need two consecutive failures. You can add a delay to each alert rule as well.
Which alert channels are supported?#
E-mail, SMS, voice calls, Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Telegram, Pushover, webhooks and push notifications in the mobile app.
Do SMS alerts cost extra?#
SMS and voice alerts use prepaid credits. Some plans include monthly credits and you can buy packs in Billing. See Billing.
Status pages#
Can I use my own domain for the status page?#
Yes, on plans with custom domains: point a CNAME record (for example status.example.com) to status.isituprightnow.com. HTTPS is set up automatically. See Status pages.
Can I make a status page private?#
Yes. Protect it with a password and/or hide it from search engines in the page settings.
API and integrations#
Is there an API?#
Yes, a REST API with API keys (read-only or read-write) for monitors, incidents, alert contacts, maintenance windows and status pages, on plans with API access. See REST API.
Can alerts trigger my own automation?#
Yes. Add a webhook alert contact and we'll send a JSON payload — or your own template — to your endpoint for every alert. See Webhooks.
Account and security#
Do you support two-factor authentication?#
Yes: authenticator apps (TOTP) with one-time recovery codes. Account owners can require 2FA for every member. See Security and 2FA.
Can my whole team use one account?#
Yes. Invite people as Admins, Members or Notify-only members (who only receive alerts and don't use a seat). See Team and roles.
Is the service available in Romanian?#
Yes. The website, the dashboard, e-mails, alerts and the documentation are available in English and Romanian. Switch with EN | RO at the top or bottom of the page.
Billing#
Can I change or cancel my plan at any time?#
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the paid period and then moves to Free. See Billing.
What happens to my monitors if I downgrade?#
Nothing is deleted. Monitors above the new plan's limit are paused (the newest first) and resumed when you upgrade again.
Which payment methods do you accept?#
Cards and the other methods offered by our payment provider's checkout. Card details are handled by the provider and never stored by us.
How do I get an invoice?#
Invoices for every payment are listed in Billing → Invoices, with a PDF from the payment provider.
