Mobile app
The isituprightnow Android app — your monitors and incidents on your phone, and critical down alerts that ring like an alarm, with quiet hours and Do Not Disturb settings.
On this page
The isituprightnow app puts your monitors in your pocket and, above all, makes sure a real outage wakes you up: critical down alerts ring like an alarm until you react, even when the phone is on silent.
What you can do#
- See all monitors of your account with their status, uptime and response-time charts.
- Browse open and past incidents.
- Pause and resume monitors.
- Receive push alerts for every down and recovery — no alert rule needed.
- Use the app in English or Romanian (it follows the phone's language, or the language you pick in the app).
Sign in with your isituprightnow e-mail address and password. If your account uses two-factor authentication, the app asks for a code too. Every signed-in phone appears as a session in Settings → Security, where you can revoke it.
Who gets push alerts#
When an incident opens or resolves, every member of the account — except Notify-only members — receives a push notification on each phone where they are signed in. Push alerts don't replace your alert rules: keep e-mail, chat or SMS contacts for people who don't use the app.
Critical alerts#
A down alert is critical (unless you turn Critical alerts off in the app):
- it plays a loud alarm tone and vibrates, and keeps ringing until you acknowledge it;
- it can open a full-screen red DOWN screen over the lock screen, with Acknowledge and Open in app buttons;
- when the monitor recovers, the up notification replaces the down one and stops the alarm.
Acknowledge on the alarm screen silences the alarm on that phone. To stop reminders for the whole team, acknowledge the incident.
Recoveries, and down alerts when critical alerts are off, are delivered as normal notifications.
Quiet hours#
Set quiet hours (for example 22:00–07:00 in your time zone) to receive normal notifications silently at night. Critical down alerts ignore quiet hours — that's the point of them.
Make sure alerts get through#
Android is aggressive about saving battery. In the app's Settings:
- Notifications — allow them when asked (Android 13+).
- Full-screen alerts — allow the app to show the alarm screen over the lock screen (Android 14+ asks separately).
- Ring during Do Not Disturb — grant Do Not Disturb access so critical alerts can ring while DND is on.
- Battery optimization — exempt the app, so phones with strict power managers (some Xiaomi, Huawei or Samsung models) don't delay alerts.
The app never changes these settings by itself; each one asks for your confirmation.
Signing out#
Signing out removes the phone from push alerts immediately. Removing a session in Settings → Security on the web signs the app out the next time it contacts the server.
